Hey guys great new site. Should be fun to load this with great riding and great friends!
After a rough life I retired my 2006 Crossfire for a Polaris RMK Assault. Should be a great season with a bit of help from old Mother Nature…
Typically you will find me Boondockin’ the Yooper Backcountry in the Winter or rippin’ up the Northwoods on Dual Sport motorcycle in the summer. You may even find me at a local lake doin’ a bit of Muskie Huntin’.
Hey Dawn keep up the good work on the videos and we will try not to get Al hurt this season. LOL

Hi, my name is Nick I ride a Renegade 1000X, I’ve been using the Hiawatha Motor Inn in Eagle River as my center point of all my snowmobiling trips since 2004. I also ride in upper Michigan when conditions are less then favorable. I was a SKI DOO dealer from 2000 to 2006 and normal average 2000 miles a year on my sled. I’ve sent 100’s of my customer to the HIAWATHIA while in business without any complaints. I’ve stayed at numerous Lodges, Hotels, and Motels and never experience the Comoridoty and the feeling that you belong like I have since I stayed at the Hiawatha the first time. You may fine someplace fancier or high classed but the people that stay at the H.M.I. are REAL PEOPLE not some plastic phonies! Real snowmobilers! Not want to bee’s. Keep doing what your doing AL & Dawn… you’ll see me and all our friends until hell freezes over.

My name is Mark, my wife Jennifer and I found the Hiawatha and have never gone anywhere else. We have enjoyed getting to know Al and Dawn and many others………
Al and Dawn have not only been great business owners, but they have become our friends up north. They have done a great job making us and our friends feel welcome. They have gone above and beyond any expecatations I may have had, Al has helped me personally with my sled when I had problems, and he got me back on the trail the next day. They are honest and that goes along way in this day and age.
Our life changed a little May 16th, but I look forward to raising my daughter at the Hiawatha…. or at least beggin Dawn to watch her while we tear up the trails.

Hi, I’m Dustin from Ladysmith, WI. I ride a 2007 Ski-Doo MXZ 600. I ride mainly in Rusk County (Ladysmith, WI) but venture to Eagle River when we don’t have adequate snow. The trails and signing in Eagle River are some of the best I’ve ridden! Can’t wait to get back up there and hoping for another outstanding year!

Howdy,my name is Rich. I ride a MXZ 800 and my wife, Mary rides a Z 570. We live down here in the hills of Mo. in Taos, a small community outside the capitol city, just a short 670 miles south of the best motel to sled out of there is, the Hiawatha Motor Inn! We found out about the Hiawatha on the internet looking for a place to stay in Eagle River. What a great find it was! Al and Dawn are two super hosts. If you aren’t smiling while staying at their motel they will do everything possible to make you smile and have a good time before you leave. I have stayed in many motels thru the years but I have never stayed in one quite like the Hiawatha! The hospitality and camarderie amongst the guests is unique and second to none.We met some great folks last year and hope to meet more this year. If your lucky, you might meet or even get to hang out with a “Hump” or two during your stay. Keep up the great work Al and Dawn. You guys are the Best!!

My name is Matt, and this year I will be riding a Arctic Cat M8. You will find me in the northwoods nearly every weekend of the snowmobile season. I was lucky enough to get to know and ride with both Al and Dawn throughout last years snowmobile season. They are great hosts, and cater to their guests in a way that is very unique and hard to find. You will surely feel at home during your time at the famous Hiawatha Motor Inn, and will leave with many great memories, and many new friends who all share a love for this great sport. There is no other place to stay in this area that will cater to snowmobilers to the extent you will find at the Hiawatha. I am greatly anticipating this upcoming season, and look forward to seeing the many familiar faces I have come to know over the past season.
WE RIDE!!!

Hi
A few friends and I are hoping to make an early trip to ride this year. We usually come to the Eagle River/St. Germain area to ride but from what I understand the trails will not open in your area until the 15th of December. We are hoping to leave here (IL) on the 11th and stay for a week. I was hoping you might be able to tell me a good place to stay/ride in the U.P. We are looking for a place that has some nice trails but also some entertaining drinking establishments too…any ideas? Thanks.

Hey my family and I have a place on Little Saint in Saint Germain. We got three sleds a ‘06 Polaris touring (our parents) and then me and my bro rip around on a ‘97 Polaris Indy 500 and a ‘97 Ski-doo 500 2-up. Great sleds to get around and have fun but were trying to look for something newer, bigger for this season maybe next. We always check this site for details on the season and weather reports due to how close our places are. Love the new web-cam. We’re in a suburb of Chicago but im always checking on you guys for when to come up. Thanks for keeping the site up to date and all. (p.s.) if you know of any local deals on sleds let me know.

Hello, my name is Nathan and I ride a 06 Crossfire. My family has cabins just down the road on Duck Lake. We come to Eagle River about two times a season from Northern Illinois to enjoy the smooth trails of Wisconsin. We stay at the Hiawatha when we get to town before heading to our cabins that are not heated all winter. It is an enjoyable place to stay and looking forward to staying there again. Bring on the snow!!!!

Found your website while checking the weather forecast in Eagle River. Thanks for all the trail updates. We have our second home in eagle river and have been up here for the last 10 days. Have spent a lot of time on the trails…best snow we have seen for this time of the year. My husband rode yesterday and lost a backpack he was carrying on the back of his sled somewhere between Everett Rd in Eagle River, 10W to 70 out of eagle river to Wilderness Trail. If anyone comes across a royal blue Eddie Bauer backpack filled with snowmobile safety items ie. jacket, gloves, shovel, tow ropes, could you please contact me. Thanks. slscott105@comcast.net
